Historic Hyde Park Photo Gallery

Albany Post Road (Rt. 9) looking south.

To the right the Eagle Firehouse built 1905 (newer building). To the left is where the car dealership/empty lot is now

Another picture of the same view looking south along Albany Post Road from the middle of the intersection of Market Street. Drug store is on the right and the building stil exists. On the left nothing exists in that lot.

Again another view looking south down Albany Post Road. The building on the left no longer exists and currently the Post Office resides there. Here we can see the intersection of Market Street, going left to right, east to west.

This is what is East Market Street looking East from the Albany Post Road intersection. This road travels to East Park or Union Corners. The building on the left was replaced by the Post Office.

This is West Market Street looking West toward the river to the train station from the Albany Post Road. The building on the left still stands along with the buildings on the right.

I'm going to say this is Main Street from the Albany Post Road looking West.

A view of Albany Post Road looking North toward the Vanderbilt Estate from the Market Street intersection.

This is the Eagle Fire Station built in 1905. The current home of the Hyde Park Historical Society. Notice the guy hoisting the firehouse bell to the roof/bell tower. The house on the left no longer exists and is the parking lot for the Town Hall.

I don't know the location of this photo. If you have an idea please message us. Maybe Main Street or Albany Post Road?

The Old Eagle Firehouse which I believe existed across the road from what is currently Sweets, Albertson Ave.

Eagle Firehouse built 1905

Hyde Park Train Station

The owner and employee of the drug store that existed in the current building located on the corner of Market and Albany Post Road.
